Frequently Asked Questions
Is any stretch PU suitable for a shoe tongue, collar or lining?
These are useful application descriptions when requesting samples, but not every stretch PU is suitable. Specify the component, stretch direction, required extension and recovery after release, and whether the material will be laminated to foam or another backing. Stretch in a single material does not guarantee the same behavior after stitching or lamination. Suitability should be assessed using information on the specific material, samples and shoe-factory trials. A hand-stretch video cannot establish a guaranteed elongation or recovery percentage.
