Compare a specific microfiber or imitation microfiber candidate
Start with the upper component above, then choose the exact swatch to evaluate. These existing material references can be shortlisted for your shoe-upper project. Final suitability is confirmed with the selected sample and shoe-factory trial.
Photos may show different swatches from the same card. Mark the pattern and color you need. The thickness photo represents the photographed sample; confirm the specification of the selected swatch before ordering. Confirm the code, color, thickness and available quantity against current stock.
YX-091: Shangri-La Design
Microfiber PU Leather. Compare the face and backing with your main panel or overlay reference. Confirm the required support, sewing behavior and edge finish on the chosen sample before treating it as a replacement.
YX-001: Mixed Pattern Color Card
Imitation Microfiber-Backed PU. Select the exact pattern and color for your visible panel or decorative component. This card contains different finishes; compare the selected swatch’s backing, cut edge and processing behavior alongside its appearance.
Check the candidate in the intended upper construction
- Define the part and sample. Mark the main panel, overlay, eyestay or decorative component. Send the pattern piece, reference material and exact candidate code, pattern and color. Agree on the backing, coating and finished assembly before comparison.
- Confirm sewing conditions. Share the intended needle, thread, stitch spacing, seam allowance and reinforcement. Have the shoe factory check seam appearance and strength around needle holes on the actual assembly, especially where the component carries load. Confirm the relevant test method and acceptance limits for that part.
- Confirm lamination and edges. Identify any foam, lining or reinforcement, adhesive and intended process settings, and whether the quotation includes lamination. Check the bonded sample and cut, skived, folded or finished edge as used in the shoe; agree which operations and process conditions apply to the selected candidate.
- Trial, then decide. Use the specific candidate to make the intended component and a shoe-factory trial. Select relevant checks such as flexing, seam strength, peel adhesion, abrasion, colorfastness or hydrolysis according to the part and customer requirements. Compare results only with comparable methods, units, specimen directions and wet, dry or ageing conditions. Where comparable data is unavailable, identify what needs checking and verify the candidate sample before approval.
Confirm replacement performance with the specific sample and trial results, alongside the required appearance. Record the trial outcome and any unresolved requirements before accepting a substitute.

Performance is not assumed from a material name. Agree on required tests for the selected construction.
Approve the material before production
Confirm the specification and MOQ for the selected construction. Lead time is confirmed after the material, color, quantity and sample requirements are agreed. Material samples and custom sampling are free. The buyer pays shipping.
Surface
Color and finish are approved against an agreed physical reference.
