How Footwear Buyers Should Read a PU Hydrolysis Test Report
A PU hydrolysis test report is useful when you can connect its result to the material you intend to buy and the requirement your shoe must meet. Before approving a coated upper material, check four things: which sample was tested, how it was aged, what was evaluated afterwards, and which acceptance criteria were applied.

Read guideColour Transfer from PU Shoe Linings: What to Check Before Changing the Material
A stain on a sock or a light-coloured shoe component is a reason to investigate the contact between materials before replacing the lining. Start by recording where the stain appeared, when it appeared and whether the lining surface is still intact. Then choose a test that addresses the suspected route: rubbing, moisture exposure or prolonged contact. A photograph can document the symptom, but it cannot establish the cause or prove which material supplied the colour.
Read guideWhy Do Buyer and Supplier Thickness Readings Differ for PU-Coated Fabric?
Before treating a thickness difference as a material defect, check whether both parties measured the same construction under comparable conditions. The material category, test method, applied pressure, reading time and sampling approach all need to be identified. A photograph of a gauge display cannot establish that two measurements are equivalent.
